mCClaud (Claudia van der Kolk, born 1970, Netherlands) is a multidisciplinary contemporary artist based in Caleta de Vélez, Spain. Originally working in fashion as a makeup artist and stylist, she developed an intuitive, experimental approach to art, combining unconventional materials with expressive techniques. Her work explores texture, transformation and the raw beauty of imperfection. Through richly layered, semi-abstract portraits and abstract compositions, she builds up and strips away materials to create powerful, tactile surfaces. Guided by intuition rather than representation, mCClaud invites viewers to experience her work through feeling and observation, allowing the materials to speak for themselves.
