Born in Portimão, Portugal, in 1952, the artist began her journey as a painter at the age of 17. During her youth, she studied drawing and painting at the Institute Parramon in Portugal and later graduated from the School of Decorative Arts 'António Arroio' in Lisbon. She worked as an art teacher at a secondary school in her hometown and founded an artistic association, INICIARTE, where she teaches drawing and painting techniques. Stela's paintings are displayed across Portugal, in both public and private institutions, as well as internationally.
