Andrea M. Weiss is an abstract painter. Her focus is large-format, colorful, expressive paintings. Her favorite medium is acryl on canvas; for applying paint, she uses a wire brush, trowel, foil, brushes, rollers, and much more. Paint on canvas is applied in several layers; sometimes, some layers are removed or repainted. Painting and putting colors together for her is very intuitive and creative - the artworks are made almost unconsciously. This dynamic process reflects the artist's current emotional world - her paintings are created with emotions to convey and bring out emotions in viewers. Finally, each work is encased in a shadow gap frame made of steel.
