Born in Praia do Carvoeiro, Algarve, in 1962, Luísa began painting in 1981. Her work is characterised by the use of simplified forms and subtle colour palettes, through which she explores the interplay between light and shadow. This dialogue is reflected in the architectural elements that often feature in Luísa´s compositions, such as walls, roofs, towers, doorways, and boats.
